The Gospel of Jesus's Wife: Coptic Blasphemy Unveiled

"A Harvard University professor has unveiled a fourth century fragment of papyrus that she says is the only existing ancient text that quotes Jesus explicitly referring to having a wife. Karen King, an expert in the history of Christianity, says the text contains a dialogue in which Jesus refers to "my wife," whom he identified as Mary.

The fragment of Coptic script is a copy of a gospel, probably written in Greek in the second century. King unveiled the fragment of the "Gospel of Jesus's Wife" in Rome on Tuesday. She says it doesn't prove Jesus was married but speaks to issues of family and marriage that faced Christians.

King says on a Harvard website that the dialogue includes the disciples discussing whether Mary is worthy and Jesus saying "she can be my disciple." Source

Smithsonian Channel is planning to debut a program about it September 30 at 8 p.m. ET.. Note how serious they view this finding, to the point that they believe it will cause some to reassess Christianity.

The Fingerprints of Satan
  • The fragment had 33 words on it.[1] Satanist believe that power resides in '33'. The Masonic New Age christ is tied to the number 33.[2]
  • Karen King says that it is not clear evidence that Jesus was married, but it does plant seeds for a future agenda.
  • The speculation of Jesus being married was the subject of Dan Brown’s best seller, The Da Vinci Code.
  • She is a member of the Jesus Seminar, of the Westar Institute. The Seminar decided to grant the apocryphal Gospel of Thomas, a Gnostic gospel, equal standing with the four traditional Gospels.
  • The Gnostics taught that Man may attain to the divine state through the knowledge of secret mysteries. The Introduction to the Gospel of Thomas describes the Gnostic message of "another Jesus."
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy...Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. " 2 Tim. 3:1-2,5

Koran Burning Terry Jones for President: Really?

Terry Jones, the controversial pastor who has made national headlines for publicly burning the Koran (Quran), is mounting a campaign for President of the United States. His campaign, which was announced this week and titled Stand Up America Now, released a statement that features a 7-point platform, including:
  1. Stop overspending immediately.
  2. Balance the budget.
  3. Reduce military spending.
  4. Deport all illegals.
  5. Also saving us 400 billion dollars per year.
  6. Reduce corporate taxes.
  7. Reduce bureaucracy.
Jones told a radio station in Jacksonville he is running because he doesn't believe the current Republican candidates are being completely honest with voters.

With a little more discernment, he'd realize he's been drawn in by a lie!

Michele Bachmann: Is She the Real Deal?

 Order of the Eastern Star?

Just as Freemason Ron Paul has positioned himself as a Republican candidate to Truth movement voters, Rep. Michele Bachmann is positioned as a Tea Party candidate - defending issues that are of concern to right-wing Christians; but is she really?

"Behind the curtain" of the Tea Party are the Koch brothers. They are two brothers who have bankrolled the movement and aren't the least bit concerned about right-wing issues. The billionaires own a vast empire that brings in revenues of $100 billion a year through oil refineries, pipelines, Georgia-Pacific lumber, and Dixie cups - among other things. They have financed the Tea Party in order to insure that laws are passed to protect their environmentally unfriendly empire, and so they can continue to gain wealthy.[1]

These wealthy men have connections to Rupert Murdoch, whose mission it is to destroy Christianity and advance world government. Although that doesn't mean that Bachmann is guilty of the same offenses, it is interesting to note that she felt justified in voting to extend the Patriot Act; the death knell to our personal freedoms ...one of the same objectives she claims to defend.[2]

In the following video, you will find that the interviewer has all the right questions concerning faith and politics, but she has all the wrong answers.

(Vimeo link)

During a speaking engagement, Bachmann told a church audience in Iowa, “I went down to Oral Roberts University, and one of the professors that had a great influence on me was an Iowan named John Eidsmoe. He’s from Iowa, and he’s a wonderful man. He has theology degrees, he has law degrees, he’s absolutely brilliant. He taught me about so many aspects of our godly heritage.”

What she overlooked telling her audience is that he is a Reconstructionist who teaches his students that our country was founded as a Christian nation, by godly founders, and it must therefore be restored to its biblical roots. This would mean that clergy, laity, government, corporations, and individuals are to be in ultimate submission to the moral principles of Biblical Law. If brought in, it would be as restrictive as Sharia Law.

(YouTube link)

Then there is the issue with standing unconditionally with Zionist Israel. In Bloomberg.com website, Jeffrey Golberg writes:
"Bachmann has built her foreign-policy platform on the nuance-free defense of Israel. She does this not because Israel is a strategic ally, or because it’s a democracy, but because the Bible states that God will curse those who betray it.

At a recent meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, she said, “I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States.” She went on: “We have to show that we are inextricably entwined, that as a nation we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel, and if we reject Israel, then there is a curse that comes into play.”
In the same article, Goldberg mentions Bachmann's trip to Tel Aviv to gain international support at a gay-pride parade.

In the Christian Examiner Online, Bachmann confides that Beverly LaHaye was a big inspiration in her political rise.[3] Who is Beverly LaHaye? She's the wife of Freemason Tim LaHaye, and leader of Concerned Women for America (CWA), one of the affiliated organizations of the Council for National Policy. Her husband, Tim LaHaye, is the author of the popular series of Left Behind, and the founder of the right-wing globalist organization Council for National Policy. It is the conservative version of the Council on Foreign Relations, which also has globalist aspirations. Based upon this CNP webpage, Bachmann is their gal.

So, what do you say? Is she for real, or is she just another fake?

Historic Day for Presbyterian Church: Gay Clergy Ushered In

(Patch.com) The Presbyterian Church USA quietly ushered in gay ordination when an amendment on Sunday formally entered the Book of Order of the church’s Constitution.

The change comes after 33 years of contentious discussion within the Presbyterian Church and as the gay-rights movement gains momentum in other Protestant Churches.

The new policy makes it easier for the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. to ordain gays and lesbians as clergy if they chose by dropping a policy requiring unmarried clergy to remain celibate. “Pastors see it as a social justice issue,” Martian said.

“The Presbyterian Church is best when we live in unity amongst diversity,” Rev. Daniel L. Martian wrote to the 134 members of his parish. “Those called to office of Minister of Word and Sacrament, Elder, or Deacon will now be recognized for their gifts of ministry and sense of call, and not their sexual preference. This will truly give the church equally to all ordain people.”

The Presbyterian Church joins a growing alliance of Protestant Churches that allow for gay clergy: United Church of Christ, Evangelical Lutheran, and Episcopal Church. The United Methodist Church is still debating the issue. (Read full article)

Terror Threat -- U.S. Churches in Danger

(OneNewsNow) With the recent airing of an al-Qaeda video that encourages Muslims to attack religious institutions, Christian churches are being warned.

In a video released by al-Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn, the American-born Muslim asks jihadists to quickly obtain guns and carry out terrorist attacks against the West. He states that Muslims are placed in the region to "do major damage to the enemies of Islam, waging war on their religion, sacred places, and things and brethren."

"That's very troubling," admits Steve Amundson of the Florida Security Council. "Adam Gadhan lived here in Southern California for a number of years. He studied under Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi at the Islamic Center of Orange County, which is in Garden Grove."

church steepleGadahn's statements to U.S. Muslims follow the death of Osama bin Laden. In response, the Christian Emergency Network has issued a warning for churches in the United States, and Amundson advises Christians to stay alert.

"Churches, just like everybody, I tell them to be vigilant; be aware of your surroundings," he urges. "Don't walk around like everything's okay, because we're in different times now, and it's time for Americans to be vigilant, be aware, [and] be alert because something could happen."

Churches are also advised to have an emergency team ready and to regularly conduct emergency drills.

Churches' Dilemma: 80 Percent of Flock Is Inactive

(Christian Post) There is a secret inside many churches. According to researchers Scott Thumma and Warren Bird, most churches – mega-sized and small, black and white – are actually run by 20 percent of the congregation. The other 80 percent, they say, tend to act like spectators: they are minimally involved and attend infrequently or not at all.

A National Congregation Survey shows the Southern Baptist Convention had a membership of 16,160,088 people in 2008, but a yearly attendance rate of 38 percent. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America had a membership of 4,542,868 in 2009, but the yearly attendance rated rested at 28 percent.

Though many churches are struggling to boost attendance and participation, Thumma states, pastors and church leaders rarely address the issue.(Read more)

World Council of Churches: New Code of Conduct with Evangelism Guidelines

(Reuters Faith) A coalition representing most Christian churches around the world launched a rule book on Tuesday for spreading their faith that aims to reduce tensions among themselves and with followers of other faiths. The pioneering code of conduct, under negotiation for five years, was unveiled by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Vatican and the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), which together claim to represent over 90 percent of Christianity.

It reaffirms their right to seek converts but also urges them to abandon “inappropriate methods of exercising mission by resorting to deception and coercive means”, saying that such behavior “betrays the Gospel and may cause suffering to others”. Click here for the PDF text of the guidelines.

Christian missionaries have long been accused of offering money, food, or other goods to win converts in poor countries, either from other faiths or from rival churches. Tensions have also risen in recent decades as evangelical Protestants have stepped up efforts to convert Muslims, which is a capital offense in some Islamic countries. This also prompts retaliation against local Christians who do not seek converts. (Read more)

Mom Gets Probation for Spanking Own Child

Rosalina Gonzales had pleaded guilty to a felony charge of injury to a child for what prosecutors had described as a "pretty simple, straightforward spanking case." They noted she didn't use a belt or leave any bruises, just some red marks.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (CBS) -- A judge in Corpus Christi, Texas had some harsh words for a mother charged with spanking her own child before sentencing her to probation.

"You don't spank children today," said Judge Jose Longoria. "In the old days, maybe we got spanked, but there was a different quarrel. You don't spank children."

Rosalina Gonzales had pleaded guilty to a felony charge of injury to a child for what prosecutors had described as a "pretty simple, straightforward spanking case." They noted she didn't use a belt or leave any bruises, just some red marks.

As part of the plea deal, Gonzales will serve five years probation, during which time she'll have to take parenting classes, follow CPS guidelines, and make a $50 payment to the Children's Advocacy Center.

She was arrested back in December after the child's paternal grandmother noticed red marks on the child's rear end. The grandmother took the girl, who was two years-old at the time, to the hospital to be checked out.

Gonzales who doesn't have custody of the child or her other two children, is trying to get them back, but until CPS feels she is ready the kids are living with their paternal grandmother.

Westboro to Picket at Mars Hill Megachurch

(Christian Post) The controversial, hate-spewing group Westboro Baptist Church is taking its angry message to a Seattle-area megachurch this Sunday.

Westboro announced on its website that its members will picket at Mars Hill Church’s Federal Way campus in Auburn, Wash., against the church’s teaching that “God love [sic] everyone and Jesus died for the sins of all of mankind.” The group claims Mars Hill is leading people to destruction by lying that God loves everyone.
“God does not love everyone – in fact, He hates the majority of mankind, and has purposed to send them to hell when they die,” reads the Westboro picket schedule page.

In response, senior pastor Mark Driscoll wrote a blog Thursday in which he said the Topeka, Kan.-based church is “more of a political hate group who use the name of God to advance their agenda.” (Read more)

Homosexuality Invades Another Mainline Denomination

by Michael Youssef

In announcing their approval of the ordination of homosexual ministers in the PC(USA), the denomination's leaders said:
"Reactions to this change will span a wide spectrum. Some will rejoice, while others will weep....Those who weep will consider this change one that compromises biblical authority and acquiesces to present culture."
I am one of those who are weeping, and I have a good reason:

Back in the late 1800s, the PC(USA) denomination sent some wonderful missionaries to the Middle East. In Egypt, they established very fine Bible-believing churches across the land. PC(USA) now comprises the largest Protestant group of more than half a million attendees.  I belonged to one of their churches when I was a young man. Later, while in Australia, I became an Anglican (the Episcopal Church in the USA). Thus, I weep for both of these two former Bible-believing denominations, with which I have deep history.

In chapter nine, verse one of his book, the prophet Jeremiah says, "Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people."

All true Christian believers, whether they are Presbyterians or not, must be weeping right now over the spread of apostasy. Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, accurately refers to it as "following Jesus while rejecting the Bible."

Many of us have seen this Chinese water torture method of homosexual lobbying in both denominations coming for many years. We have known that it's only a matter of time. And yet, when it becomes reality, it is so hard to comprehend.

Today, I'm appealing to all faithful Presbyterians in the PC(USA) and Episcopalians to vote with your feet and get out of these churches as fast as you can. As I mention in my latest book The Greatest Lie, this type of preaching is now invading many mainline and evangelical churches.

There can be no excuse.

No, you cannot stay and be a witness.

No, you cannot stay and try to change things.

No, you cannot stay and hope that you will be a light.

These denominations have chosen darkness, and they need to experience what true darkness is all about by not having any believers inside their walls.

To modify slightly the words of the apostle Paul, the faithful believers ought to deliver these institutions to Satan by walking out as fast as they can. (1 Corinthians 5:4-5)

Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Christian Psychics Predict New Madrid Fault

A few years ago, I began to hear about the possibility of the New Madrid Fault system. The fault system was responsible for the 1811–1812 New Madrid earthquakes, and may have the potential to produce large earthquakes in the near future. The prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation, such as Joyner and Bentley, were the first to warn their followers about the earth potentially shifting. Almost weekly, Rick Joyner has begun releasing video warnings about Los Angeles and the New Madrid Fault lines, and asking people to prepare.

Jim Bakker, who was a televangelist and a former host of The PTL Club, got caught in a sex scandal and accounting fraud. Bakker has a close association with Rick Joyner, since he helped restore Bakker back into ministry after he was released from jail.[1] Another tie is that they are both members of the Knights of Malta, a religious order of the Roman Catholic church and a branch of Freemasonry.

Does this seem far fetched? Perhaps not. According to David Stewart, while in jail, Bakker, a former minister of the Assemblies of God, went to a Catholic priest to confess his sins.[2] Another dirty little secret is that there is a long list of Charismatics who are Freemasons, such as Pat Robertson, Tim LaHaye, Oral Roberts, just to mention a few.[3]

In the video below, I'd like to point out a few points that don't seem right.
  • Jim is wearing a NOW cap. NOW is the acronym for National Organization of Women. It is the largest feminist organization in the United States.
  • He mentions that there is going to be a major shaking in the Church. If he knows about the New Madrid Fault and the shaking in the Church, it makes you wonder what else he knows. Perhaps his connection to the Knights of Malta makes him privy to the information.
  • Bakker is trying to make a buck from his survival food, along with asking for a $500 love gift. It makes you wonder if he was repentant.
  • According to texnews.com: One day he's in his new home in Los Angeles, showing off the sprawling inner-city ministry where he lives in a dorm room with his son, Jamie, 22. The next he's back in Charlotte, N.C., his old hometown, predicting the end of the world in a rambling sermon in a nondescript office park.

(YouTube link) (Part 2)

I don't doubt that someday soon we will have a major earthquake in our country. I don't doubt that we are living in the last days. But the thing that makes me suspicious is that these false prophets are publicizing their prophetic outlook so that we will follow them when they are right. They've got a plan, and they aren't telling us what it is.

Largest Earthquake Drill In America History Along New Madrid Seismic Zone

Does anyone think it's strange that FEMA would select an inactive zone to hold their exercise? We've been watching the earthquake map for the past month, and the New Madrid zone is totally silent. Three million people will participate in a series of earthquake drills aimed at preparing for a large scale earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

A couple months ago, FEMA requested 14 million emergency meals for the New Madrid Seismic Zone, as well as the coffins that have been waiting on the sidelines for the past few years. Why would our government spend all of this money in an inactive zone if they're only "practicing?"

This YouTuber tries to pull the pieces together to see how the government is planning an earthquake that will allow them to kill off part of our population. This makes you wonder if these severe storms we've had is possibly part of this weather modification/HAARP scenario. Paranoia is just good sense when someone is trying to kill you.

Barna Group Study: What Americans Believe About Universalism and Pluralism

Most Americans believe they, themselves, will go to heaven. Yet, when asked to describe their views about the religious destiny of others, people become much less forgiving. Some people might be described as inclusive—that is, embracing the notion that everyone—or nearly everyone—makes it into heaven. Others possess a generally exclusive take on faith, viewing the afterlife in a more selective manner.

A new analysis of Barna Group trend data explores whether Americans embrace inclusive or exclusive views of faith as well as how they operate within a context of religious pluralism, or the multi-faith nature of U.S. society. The research examines what Americans believe, whether there have been changes over time, and the degree to which younger generations are different from older adults.

Universalism
Broadly defined, universalism is the belief that all human beings will be saved after death. On balance, Americans leaned toward exclusive rather than inclusive views.(Read article)

Study Results Summarized: Universalism
  • "It doesn’t matter what religious faith you follow because they all teach the same lessons.” Results: 43% agreed and 54% disagreed with the statement
  • “All people will experience the same outcome after death, regardless of their religious beliefs” Results: 40% agreed, 55% disagreed
  • “All people are eventually saved or accepted by God, no matter what they do, because he loves all people he has created” Results: 40% agreed, versus 50% disagreed
  • “In life you either side with God or you side with the devil; there is no in-between position” Results: 69% disagreed, versus 27% agreed with the idea.
  • “If a person is generally good or does enough good things for others, they will earn a place in heaven” Results: 48% agreed, while 44% disagreed
Study Results: Pluralism
One aspect of exclusion and inclusion is how Americans’ relate to faiths other than their own, which is particularly important in a pluralistic, multi-faith society. On the evangelistic side, a slim majority of Americans:
  • 51% believe they have “a responsibility to tell other people their religious beliefs.”
  • 62% said it is important “to have active, healthy relationships with people who belong to religious faiths that do not accept the central beliefs of your faith.”
In a mash-up of pluralism and universalism:
  • 59% of adults believe that “Christians and Muslims worship the same God even though they have different names and beliefs regarding God.”
  • 43% Americans agreed to endorse the idea that “the Bible, the Koran, and the Book of Mormon are all different expressions of the same spiritual truths.”
  • 62% of the residents of Texas were equally likely as residents of New York to believe that Christians and Muslims worship the same deity.
  • Florida residents 58% were statistically similar. Yet, California was less likely to embrace the idea that Christians and Muslims worship the same deity 48%.
The president of the Barna Group, pointed out that “the difference between the Christian community and the cultural norms is even more pronounced among the youngest generations. In other words, younger born again Christians’ attitudes about religious inclusivity and exclusivity are more divergent from their peers than is currently true of their parents’ generation. This gap represents increasing pressure on young believers to understand those differences and to find meaning and confidence in their faith convictions.

Bhutan: Their Intolerance for Christians

Prime Minister Jigmi Yoser Thinley
The first democratically-elected Prime Minister of Bhutan, is a country dedicated to improving its Gross National Happiness as opposed to its Gross National Product.  What is Gross National Happiness?

(YouTube link)

In the Kingdom of Bhutan, Christians have the right to proclaim their faith, but must not use coercion or claim religious superiority to seek conversions, the country’s prime minister has stated in an interview.

“I view conversions very negatively, because a conversion is the worst form of intolerance,” Jigmi Yoser Thinley said in his office in the capital of the predominantly Buddhist nation.

“The first premise [of seeking conversion] is that you believe that your religion is the right religion, and the religion of the convertee is wrong – what he believes in is wrong, what he practices is wrong, that your religion is superior and that you have this responsibility to promote your way of life, your way of thinking, your way of worship,” Thinley said. “It’s the worst form of intolerance. And it divides families and societies.”[2]

Togbay said there are Christians who are tolerant and compassionate of other peoples, cultures and religions, but “there are Christians also who go through life on war footing to save every soul. That’s their calling, and it’s good for them, except that in Bhutan we do not have the numbers to accommodate such zeal.”

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk

Interestingly, Bhutan’s current king, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, who shapes the country’s foreign policy, studied at Phillips Academy, Cushing Academy, and Wheaton College in Massachusetts. But he has maintained a policy of “entertain, but not engage” with the United States. [3] They don't want to become westernized, although they are quite modernized with globally-minded ideas.

Do you see any parallels that can be drawn from this? Just as the Kingdom of Bhutan does not tolerate the thought that Christianity is superior, there will come a time when the laws in the US will prevent Christians from  seeking converts and witnessing for Christ for the same reasons. Intolerance toward Christians will become hip, and the laws will be there to back them.

Reviving the Spirit of Rome

Have you ever noticed how movies are getting bloodier and television programs are permitting bloodier scenes to be televised? This Christian video blogger believes it is all in preparation for the rise of the spirit of Rome. The Bible predicts a revival of the Roman spirit, yet this time, it shall consume the entire Globe. If it returns in all its dread and horror, shall we see a return of the Roman style games? Will Christians be the object of torment? Watch, and you decide. It makes sense. Beware, because some scenes will be disturbing. You'll get the point and not want to watch the whole thing.

UN document would give 'Mother Earth' same rights as humans

Gaia, New Age Goddess of Mother Earth

UNITED NATIONS — Bolivia will this month table a draft United Nations treaty giving "Mother Earth" the same rights as humans — having just passed a domestic law that does the same for bugs, trees and all other natural things in the South American country.

The bid aims to have the UN recognize the Earth as a living entity that humans have sought to "dominate and exploit" — to the point that the "well-being and existence of many beings" is now threatened.

The wording may yet evolve, but the general structure is meant to mirror Bolivia's Law of the Rights of Mother Earth, which Bolivian President Evo Morales enacted in January.

That document speaks of the country's natural resources as "blessings," and grants the Earth a series of specific rights that include rights to life, water and clean air; the right to repair livelihoods affected by human activities; and the right to be free from pollution.

It also establishes a Ministry of Mother Earth, and provides the planet with an ombudsman whose job is to hear nature's complaints as voiced by activist and other groups, including the state.

"If you want to have balance, and you think that the only (entities) who have rights are humans or companies, then how can you reach balance?" Pablo Salon, Bolivia's ambassador to the UN, told Postmedia News. "But if you recognize that nature too has rights, and (if you provide) legal forms to protect and preserve those rights, then you can achieve balance."

The application of the law appears destined to pose new challenges for companies operating in the country, which is rich in natural resources, including natural gas and lithium, but remains one of the poorest in Latin America. (Read more)

U.S. Abandoning Dollar as the Main Global Reserve Currency

(Reuters) - A new United Nations report released on Tuesday calls for abandoning the U.S. dollar as the main global reserve currency, saying it has been unable to safeguard value.

But several European officials attending a high-level meeting of the U.N. Economic and Social Council countered by saying that the market, not politicians, would determine what currencies countries would keep on hand for reserves.

"The dollar has proved not to be a stable store of value, which is a requisite for a stable reserve currency," the U.N. World Economic and Social Survey 2010 said.

The report says that developing countries have been hit by the U.S. dollar's loss of value in recent years.
"Motivated in part by needs for self-insurance against volatility in commodity markets and capital flows, many developing countries accumulated vast amounts of such (U.S. dollar) reserves during the 2000s," it said.

The report supports replacing the dollar with the International Monetary Fund's special drawing rights (SDRs), an international reserve asset that is used as a unit of payment on IMF loans and is made up of a basket of currencies.

"A new global reserve system could be created, one that no longer relies on the United States dollar as the single major reserve currency," the U.N. report said.

The report said a new reserve system "must not be based on a single currency or even multiple national currencies but instead, should permit the emission of international liquidity -- such as SDRs -- to create a more stable global financial system." (Read more)

Study Shows Rise in Agnostics and Atheism

(USA Today) Based on 54,000 interviews conducted in 2008 by American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS), those claiming to have "No Religion," including atheists, agnostics and those who choose no religious identification, increased dramatically over the past 20 years. The states of New Hampshire and Vermont were leading the pack, with the northeast generally showing a lack of spiritual identity. (View the study)
