Word of Faith: Origins & Errors of Their Teaching

"...anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that
thou mayest see." Rev. 3:8

"Can the blind lead the blind?
shall they not both fall into the ditch?" Luke 6:39

Keith Thompson reveals how the teachings of Joel Osteen, Kenneth Hagin, Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T. D. Jakes, and others are pure blasphemy. This film takes a look at the major doctrines which separate this movement from historic Biblical Christianity. Its origins and errors are documented, then contrasted by the biblical teaching with evidence and fact.

The content of the film is as follows:
  1. Introduction
  2. Are we little gods? 6:39
  3. Preaching a Different Jesus 1:06:10
  4. Declaring Health, Wealth, and Happiness 1:58:24
  5. Questionable Origins of the Movement 2:45:00
(YouTube link)

If you aren't able to view the full film, at least watch the origins of the movement. The film isn't comprehensive of all of the Word of Faith's error, but he does a nice job gathering the evidence.

Texe Marrs: Tower of Infamy

Texe Marrs presents evidence that famous-name Christian leaders have sold-out to Satan. Seeking to make a name for themselves and to reap financial gain, these men have been given over to a reprobate mind.

Much of the information on this 2004 video parallels the research I've done, and Texe has come up with the same conclusions. Although it's within reach, he does not make a connection between the Republican Party and its Fascist leaders with their faith and family platform. He also does not say anything about the false doctrine of Dispensationalism, which is one reason why some of the wolves he identified are Judaizers/Zionists. Texe does have most things right, but since there are some important oversights, this is not an endorsement of his ministry.

Where to Draw the Line with the Occult Conspiracy Information

Satan has long been known as "the prince of this world"; "the prince of the power of the air", "the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience"; and "the god of this world". It doesn't take long to learn that his purpose is to destroy Christianity, just as he would like to destroy empires, nations,  and the traditional family. Through this destruction, he plans to set himself up as the Most High God, and leave man defenseless in the face of one-world tyranny.

With the advent of the internet, we are beginning to see and hear more about the Luciferian world government, and the fulfillment of scripture is happening daily right before our eyes. Many Christians have begun to wake up to realize this Satanic conspiracy has advanced much further than they would ever imagine. Many are waking up to the falsehood of the Reconstructionist/Dominionist/ecumenical movements, the Purpose Driven Church, the Word of Faith, and the extreme Paganism of the Roman Catholic church, and realizing that it is all an important part of the end game. We are all saddened by how many wolves have crept in and infiltrated many high positions in the organized/corporate Church, not to mention the multitude of cults.

Trusting Christians have been lulled into a false sense of security believing that the majority of Bible teachers tell the truth, therefore they have trusted many false teachings, each for its own appointed purpose. It seems as though God is judging the Church by placing blinders on her in order to allow the apostasy. Since the modern church has been taught to "touch not the Lord's anointed", these apostates have been permitted to propagate their lies, such as: the pretribulation rapture, Israel can do no wrong, and it is the Christians job to take dominion of the world.

Chuck Missler - Popular author and conference speaker involved with government black ops projects.

Benny Hinn says that the Lord Jesus Christ will one day be on his stage (see video 8:55 on counter.).

Christians listen to advice on who to vote for, and why it is important to become politically involved.

Dr. James Dobson - an advocate for traditional family values, but encourages Christians to become politically involved for the Fascist-driven Right Wing agenda.

Many of us have believed that politicians can be used as a way to solve the world's problems, only to learn they are part of a Luciferian cult ushering in a Satanic agenda.

George W. Bush - Skull and Bones - His grandfather was a Nazi sympathizer.

Corporations are also part of this occult conspiracy, and we can spot their membership through their corporate occult symbolism. With each discovery, we can see how overwhelming Satan's kingdom on earth has become...

The 3 claw strikes in the Monster Energy logo means 666 in Hebrew.

...and the orchestrated collapse of the economic system only edges it all on.

The meaning of the Mandorla. also known as the  vesica piscis  depicts the interactions and interdependence of opposing worlds and forces. It is this correlation, and its relation to rebirth and regeneration that remains a basic truth at the very core of occult structural foundations.

So we earnestly study to learn who the infiltrators are, and try to spot them by their symbolism and personal/professional associations - which is a dead giveaway. With the study, comes a great weight on our heart. The Bible says,
"For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow" Ecc. 1:18.
In other words, this type of information becomes a burden with each new piece of the puzzle. A Christian can begin to feel very insignificant in an evil world where he is surrounded on all sides with no hope of escape. Knowing how vast this agenda is, we begin to examine each minister of the Gospel with a critical eye to see if he is one of the many double-agent con artists, and question ourselves to whether mental illness maybe setting in. You don't know if your long-trusted TV preacher maybe part of this Satanic conspiracy, question if our local pastors are brainwashed by nationally accepted false teachings that are leading to fulfill globalist goals. It prevents you from thinking that there is safety in any institutional/corporate Christian ministry.

John MacArthur teaches the pretribulation rapture lie and supports neoconservatism. His ministry logo indicates he worships the sun god of the mystery religions.

After a while, you may wonder if all of this information is actually hindering your walk with the Lord, instead of helping it. Besides, aren't we called to think upon "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue..." This conspiracy information is farfetched from that!

Be ye separate...

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."  2 Corinthians 6:17

This places you and I in a peculiar position. If we feel compelled to learn how ministries and the world are preparing us for the New World Order and the end game, shouldn't we know? Since Christians will be marked for persecution in the last days, wouldn't it be wise to know who the enemy is?

Psalm 119:97-104 says that obedience to God's Word will make us wiser than our enemies, and have more understanding than our teachers. It is wise to refrain our feet from evil. So how do we do that?

One of the approaches that may be helpful to take while researching is to differentiate which information you have a "need to know" and which information will defile you. Knowing signs and symbols will not defile you, however my greatest concerns are some of the images in the videos and books we are using to learn about their evil plan. Even when the videos and books are produced/written by a professing Christian, there is no guarantee that we won't be defiled. For example, some of the videos produced by Pastor Joe Schimmel. They are extremely informative, he seems to be a genuine Christian, yet at the same time many of the scenes violate the very principles of separation. The images in his new Emergent church production titled The Submerging Church are full of important information, yet the perverted images  are still burned in my brain. He also produced the video "They Sold Their Souls For Rock And Roll" ... filled with dark imagery, gross lyrics, and perverted scenes.

Another example is Chris Pinto's production on the New Age movement, where he had footage of Ozzie Osborne singing about Aleister Crowley, along with a few other corrupt segments. He had some footage I wish I had never seen or heard, and the memory of it is still impressed on my mind. It becomes apparent that once we cross the line with some of this occult conspiracy information, there is a price to pay. If one is not careful, a slow-moving Satanic hook is ready to trap every believer and reel him in.

Chris Pinto's ministry logo with lightening - a symbol for Satan (Luke 10:18). He does seem like a genuine Christian, but he has several questionable associations and in-depth expose material.

As for myself, I started my journey into research about 3 years ago - 2009 - after I left the Word of Faith. After I repented from it and the Lord began to open my eyes to the lies and deception involved in this cult, I wanted to know how I was fooled. I found two YouTube blogs and watched them on a regular basis where they disclosed the occult conspiracy. Unfortunately, neither of them are producing videos today, because the enemy reeled them in on his hook. You could see it in the way they talked and presented themselves - which showed a steady downward decline. I know at least one of them read many of the books by these New Age occultists, especially Madame Blavatzky's books. From what I've heard, her book comes with a stern warning by her. I personally believe it was Blavatsky's books that caused his life to unravel.

Walking in the darkness is talked about in 1 John 1:5-7, which is essentially what occurs when you cross the line into some of this reading material.

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
This reminds me of a song my children used to sing at Sunday school - one that taught how to protect yourself from the darkness of the world.

O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see

O be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear...

The Bible says that "The eye is the lamp of the body" - so if we continue to violate God's Word by partaking in darkness, Satan will have a surer and faster hold of our soul.

Glenn Beck, who is heavily involved in the ecumenical movement, gives the Masonic sign of silence.

Conclusion
Every Christian should draw the line by not viewing video depicting partially clad women, occult practices, ceremonies, worship, and the in-depth detail; and occult writing should be off limits to every believer who has faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We will read historical quotes by these conspirators in our research, which serves as a good learning tool, so I don't believe they are harmful by themselves. The books, however, should be off limits. Also, be cautious of those who have claimed to read these books for the cause of research, because they may be part of this quick-moving conspiracy. They may have motives for why they were reading the material, other than curiosity.

I may be wrong, but I believe that some of this information on the occult is working to indoctrinate/initiate this generation, since so many principles are being revealed. Just as Jesus slowly worked in our hearts before we fully accepted Him as Lord, the evil one is working the same way with his written material, music, movies, and TV shows.

We live in days of great deception. May God give His Church the ability to see how this generation is being held captive by elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

"Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation." Joel 1:3

Ecumenism and the Three Threads of the Charismatic Renewal

Cardinal Leon Suenens ( 1904-1996)
The ecumenical house of deception has many windows. The following finding connects the ecumenical movement of the Roman Catholic Church with that of the Charismatic movement. If it were not for Cardinal Suenens, the Charismatic Renewal would never had entered the Catholic Church. Once it did, leaders from the Pentecostal, Protestant Charismatic, and Catholic church felt a need to bring the three streams of renewal together in a more formal way. With 50,000 registered attendees, this was the biggest and most inclusive gathering of "baptized in the Spirit believers" in modern history. With Cardinal Suenens as the papal liaison, the 1977 Kansas City Conference on Charismatic Renewal, " was the largest and most inclusive ecumenical assembly in the history of American Christianity." Almost half of the participants were Roman Catholics. This new body of Charismatics were not separatists, but rather reformist in character.[1][2]

According to Dave Hunt, the guiding hand behind the Charismatic movement, who likewise used it to further Rome's ecumenical aims, was Cardinal Leon Joseph Suenens. He was a recipient of the ecumenical  Templeton Award for Progress in Religion in 1976, and was given a special mandate to oversee the worldwide charismatic "renewal movement" in the Catholic Church, an assignment that was reconfirmed by John Paul II.

The Cardinal was influential in the General Council formed in the early 1970s by Shepherding and Protestant/Catholic charismatic leaders. It was at the General Council when Cardinal Suenens provided a blueprint plan for an alternative agenda.[3] He believed that once there was communion in the spirit, there would eventually be physical unity. [4] The Council then began to guide the ecumenical charismatic movement for years from behind the scenes. The minutes for its May-June, 1977 meeting reveal that a "covenant relationship" was entered into with Cardinal Suenens, which included the following:

"We, as a Council, are committing ourselves to work together with the Cardinal for the restoration and unity of Christian people and world evangelization in projects to be mutually agreed upon. In each project, headship, authority and method of functions will be mutually determined by the Cardinal and the Council in the light of the requirements of each situation."

Dave Hunt continues, "World evangelization" with Suenens? What naiveté! Cardinal Suenens hosted and gave the opening speech at the Second World Conference on Religion and Peace in Louvain, Belgium in 1974, which received Pope Paul VI's blessing. Delegates were particularly impressed with the important role that religious unity will play in establishing the coming world government. A continual call was sounded for "a new world order." Under Catholic leadership, the Louvain Declaration stated,

Buddhists, Christians, Confucianists, Hindus, Jains, Jews, Muslims, Shintoists, Sikhs, Zoroastrians and still others, we have sought here to listen to the spirit within our varied and venerable religious traditions...we have grappled with the towering issues that our societies must resolve in order to bring about peace, justice, and ennobling quality of life for every person and every people....

We rejoice that...the long era of prideful and even prejudiced isolation of the religions of humanity is, we hope, now gone forever. We appeal to the religious communities of the world to inculcate the attitude of planetary citizenship ....[5]

Examples of Compromise
As you may recall from one of my earlier articles, Kathryn Kuhlman did not like to conduct her services without Catholic priests on her platform.  Her personal secretary wrote:
"Nothing thrilled Kathryn more than to have thirty or forty Catholic clergymen, especially if they wore clerical collars or, better yet, cassocks, sitting behind her while she ministered. Somehow it seemed to lend authenticity to what she was doing — and helped create the proper climate of a trust and understanding which was so necessary for a miracle service." (Daughter Of Destiny, p. 221.)

Benny Hinn also has a connection with the Catholic Church, and has been invited for a private audience with Pope John Paul at the Vatican.

Reunification
Deception has long been used by the Vatican to lure the "separated brethren" of Protestantism back into the fold, but uniting all religions under Rome, as Revelation 17 indicates. The means and motivation behind doing this has long been part of Freemasonry. According to Dr. Cathy Burns, in her book Billy Graham and His Friends, Cardinal Suenens was a Freemason.

The interesting part of this resurgence in the tongues movement is that both Freemasons and Jesuit priests have been on the sidelines providing encouragement and guidance all along. When the parts of the Roman Catholic Church were baptized in the Holy Ghost, they did not turn their back on the Catholic church, it only provided more fuel. Suenens stated:
"Since I have had this [charismatic] experience, my allegiance to the Holy Father as the Vicar of Christ in the world has been heightened and strengthened. My appreciation for Mary as the co-redemptress and mediatoress of my salvation has been assured. My appreciation of the mass as the sacrifice of Christ has now been heightened." Cloud, Flirting with Rome
Final Comments
My only desire for doing research on the Charismatic movement is to completely understand how and why tongues for today are not valid manifestations of the Spirit. I received the baptism many years ago, and could never receive a valid explanation for my experience after I left, other than what I saw in the Book of Acts. I did walk away from it at one point in my walk with Christ, but only returned to it again later. Once I learned I was deceived by my involvement with the Word of Faith movement, only after leaving it, I began to dissect every experience I had and balance it with Scripture. When I find information about the Roman Catholic Church, the baptism experience, and their direct connection with the ecumenical movement, how could anyone not have their eyes opened and continue down the same path?

The Presence of Angels in Modern Day Ministries

The presence of angels in the ministry of Todd Bentley, Bob Jones is partly why so many Christians follow these ministries. It wasn't until I watched a recent video from John Paul Jackson, that I began to seriously think about it. He was visited by an angel when he received the Word that serious trouble is coming to our country.

It was an angel who told William Branham of the Latter Rain movement, that the last president in our country would be a woman.  Has anyone slowed down to ask if it is something God wants us chasing after?

I found this interesting passage from an article by Let Us Reason ministries.
"It is the Gnostics that had the worship and revelation of angels (Col. 2:18), they took delight in things they had not seen through vain imaginations. Paul emphasized a wisdom and knowledge that comes from God and not from idle speculations, angelic visitations, or fables. Col. 2:3 says of Christ, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Christ, not heaven, not angels is whom we are to seek. Bentley is preaching experiences via angels. The Holy Spirit is sent to be our Guide, not angels who are constantly visiting with new revelatory stories. Jn.14:20 the Holy Spirit will us direct us to the words of Jesus. He does not need angels to do this. We can know everything we need by what God has revealed through His Word. We do not need to discover anything by pursuing experiences in the spirit realm, a place that we are not told to seek."
The sort of visitation I am addressing is one where we summon the angels. If you happen to be laying in bed one night and you have a heavenly visitation without asking, I'm sure you have not violated any principle. But if someone goes into an altered state to experience something extra, then I see that as being dangerous.

Also from the Let Us Reason site, he says:
"It is the 3rd wave adherents (another name for Latter Rain) are involved in Gnosticism, and have been saying the same unbiblical statements and prophecies. These are just a few examples:
Rick Joyner “Angelic appearances will be common to the saints and a visible glory of the Lord will appear upon some for extended periods of time as power flows through them.” (Rick Joyner, The Harvest, p.128-129). In his revelation “the Final Quest” he meets an angel called WISDOM, who teaches him to rise to the third heaven, we later find this angel is Jesus.
Benny Hinn “The angels of heaven are about to appear in visible form…the angels of the Lord are about to invade planet earth and come to your house.” (Benny Hinn, Honolulu Blaisdell, Jan.21 1999).
If you have been on my Yahoo alternative news group, you would know that Benny Hinn also believes that he will stand on stage with the coming Messiah. Others believe he's delusional and feel it will be the New Age christ that he will stand on stage with.

I do believe that in the latter days the Lord will pour out His Spirit, and that many will have dreams and visions of the future. There was never anything said about angelic visitations.

I know anyone can write something on the internet and try to pass it off as Truth. I believe that the quotes above are valid ones. It was the Gnostic group who were the heretics of their time. Gnostic teachings are also within many of the Freemason practices.

If you are interested in this subject, I urge you to do further study on the topic.

Below, is an interview with Pastor Joe Schimmel. He makes some comments about the New Age movement and Benny Hinn.
