Interdependence: The Wrong Solution, a Bad Idea

Imagine was John Lennon's second major release apart from the Beatles. It was released in the in 1971, and it was his most commercially successful album. He hoped that "one day we would live as one," but did anyone really know what he was talking about at the time?

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

If you consider what John Lennon wanted, it is a very different world than what we live in today. It seems like fantasy than anything that could be based on reality.

Global Interdependence
Imagine speaks of sharing, the concept of community, brotherhood of man, and that the world will live as one. What do all of these have in common? Interdependence - it is a relationship between its members, such that each is mutually dependent on the others. It offers a prescription for change, based on partnership, and it goes hand-in-hand with the concept of community of the Communitarian. "Collectivism" refers to any philosophy or system that puts any kind of group before the individual, and they depend on the interdependence of the group. Ultimately, it weaves together New Age religious concepts and the sugar-coated, unrealistic dream of a peaceful global utopia.

Interdependence is a word we will hear more about. Let's look closer at how it has been used in the past.

New Age and Theosophy
The New Age, as we saw in the feudal system Hitler attempted to build with National Socialism, are systems that are being used to accelerate the transformation into the mystery religions - but on a global scale. Mysteries and pagan rituals were introduced into the mainstream of the German nation during Hitler's time in power - and they were all connected to the occult teachings of Madame Helena Blavatsky, Annie Besant, and Alice Bailey. Alice once said:
"Steadily and regularly, the general public must be taught an internationalism and a world unity which is based on simple goodwill and on cooperative interdependence."
The teachings of Theosophy heavily influenced Adolph Hitler. Other notable world leaders touched by Theosophy have written about interdependence throughout history, including Karl Marx, Mahatma Gandhi, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Stephen Covey, a well-known Mormon.

Karl Marx first used the term interdependence in the Communist Manifesto (1848) in describing the universal interdependence of nations in comparison to the old local and national seclusion of independence and self-sufficiency.[2] Marx and Engel's social relationships and processes were associated with feudalism, including the interdependence of the church and state, and the economic interdependence of families.

Feudalism: a system that is interconnected and interdependent.

Interdependence of the Environmental Movement
Ironically, the environmental movement also calls for interdependence. Members of the David Suzuki Foundation team wrote a Declaration of Interdependence in 1992 for the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. The purpose was to recognize the integral and interdependent nature of the Earth, and all of its systems - human, economic, nature...[3]

This is David Suzuki. Note his statement on the "politics of need". He uses the dependence upon man's political system, instead of his dependence upon God.

Interdependence in Unity in Diversity
What is taking place on a global scale is the same method of training used in the U.S. military through their Human Relations training. Since they bring so many recruits together who are culturally and politically different, they teach soldiers and airman to be tolerant of physical, racial, cultural, social, religious, and political differences. They teach you that there can be unity, based on an understanding that difference enriches human interactions.

Coincidentally, the Baha'i Faith, a New Age/NWO religion, has made "unity in diversity" their "watchword" for their inclusive belief system.

On another level, the Unity in Diversity World Council has produced their own goals for interdependence. Their site provides their thoughts on unity, then states:
"We the People therefore proclaim our interdependence; We shall kindle the torch of hope, link hands over space and time, and fulfill our interdependence through action."

Slowly, the world's elite are molding a global Democracy. With the promotion of tolerance and unity, it has made it easier to live in a country with blended cultures. But there has always been a grander scheme in mind...one global spirituality and loss of national sovereignty.

The coin, which bears the words “unity in diversity,” was minted in Belgium
and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations. (Click on image.)

    The Interdependence Movement
9/11 had a significant part in the start of the Interdependence Movement.

Interdependence Day has been celebrated since September 12, 2003, and has turned into a global movement, with 9 global cities and dozens of other locations celebrating this day. The celebration of Interdependence Day has in turn generated a wider movement, the Interdependence Movement, which has a year-round focus.

Who has been celebrating this New Age Interdependence Day? New York City, San Franciso, Scranton, PA, churches, as well as the Transition Towns.

    Conclusion
Christian interdependence is important to the life of the Church. We are to love one another, not think more highly of ourselves than we should, not act according to selfish ambition or conceit, but rather operate according to the faith, which is a gift of God. We are to recognize and depend upon one another’s gifts, and look out for the interests of other believers (John 13:34-35; Romans 12:3-6; Philippians 2:3-4). This is true biblical interdependency.[4]

Please don't misinterpret what I say by thinking that we should trust in man alone. We are dependent on His Holy Spirit, and we are to walk and live in obedience and service to Him - ministering within the Body. We aren't to be fully dependent on man. "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD."  (Jer. 17:5)

The 'god of this world' is using interdependence for the purpose of the New World Order. Interdependence is man dependency on man for man's agenda...leaving the God of the Bible out of the picture. The environmentalists are serving the "god of this world" via the "brotherhood of man". Interdependence is being pawned off as a solution to the world's problems, and it is setting up the antichrist system. It is a system that will remove our national sovereignty, and eventually create a seat for a single world leader. At no time does scripture tell us to be dependent upon a world system, or to have unity with the unbelieving world - unless it is for the purpose of spreading the Gospel.

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you..." 2 Cor. 6:16-17
